In the first moments it seems complicated. Once the player understands the system and style of play, the game will reward him with a beautiful experience. The player is continuously amazed and gradually discovers new possibilities. I like that player does not play by the hand, but after a few moments, is able to move the story forward. Whole game is graphically beautifully crafted, audio as well. For the whole game I met with no problem.. Dark Train is a very peculiar game. I don't think it can be compared to anything else.The gameplay focuses on exploring every nook and cranny of the train and the city you are driving through, while solving some light puzzles.At first it needs a bit time to find out, what you can do at all, with what you are able to interact and what some parts of the train do. But as soon as you found out it's rather addictive.. Dark Train is a beautiful, wonderful game. While the developers have termed it "tamagotchi"-style, this description woefully underdescribes the gameplay, which is very much puzzle-oriented. Nominally, one must keep the train supplied with electricity, fire, and water, but there are no dire consequences to allowing any of these to run out: One must simply wait for the required resources to come along, and then once any puzzle at hand has been solved, one is gothily chugging away down the tracks once again. There are a few "secret" areas that can be missed if you aren't actively trying to find them, but bypassing them won't impede gameplay.The puzzles aren't incredibly hard or anything, but they're all enjoyable and certainly nontrivial, and the art and sound are an absolute feast. It's worth playing Dark Train simply to absorb the delicious atmosphere; Dark Train is replayable simply for that experience.
